In my opinion the most viable tcg version of Vaylantz in the current meta. With the current meta it has a good match up against most decks as fields aren't ftk's at the moment and don't just set up as many hard negates and removal as previous formats with this it makes it much easier for Vaylantz to function. The deck does still brick sometimes but most hands should be able to get you to dyna lock with the new exceed the pendulum giving the deck far better end boards and ability to free up the necessary field zones as well.
The deck does die to nibiru, droll and DRNM but if these aren't hard drawn its very hard to break any Vaylantz board with just engine or not as impactful hand traps. Koa'ki Meiru Guardian is side decked for this exact reason as the deck doesn't need its normal summon and provides a negate for problem cards. If you get DRNM'd the oponnent was just better I guess can't play around that.
The hand trap and board breakers chosen to main deck have to do with Vaylantz's ability to break boards as going second with only engine can break most boards and if you have Fenrir you should be able to break anything. I have YGO Omega replays of this if anyone wants them can play through 4, 5 negates with the right hand easily and OTK. The selection of Fenrir is just because its the best card for this deck its a free special summon if you have drawn poorly and need extra material for Beyond the Pendulum and can clear some boards going second by itself. Droll was selected based off the fact that this deck can't break combo deck boards, Infernoble, Mannadium can't be broken with engine and droplet and DRNM main deck clash with the superheavy package. Ash and Imperm are must haves in the main deck this format just good versatile cards. Imperm may clash with the superheavy samurai package but it's good enough to justify due to just how versatile it is.
Board breakers in the side deck are the best avaliable in sphere mode and lava golem, no deck can negate these 2 and they normally remove all the problem cards just by drawing one of them and with the deck not needing its normal summon these are perfect. Feather Duster and Lightning Storm are both must haves in the side as well with Labrynth and anti-spell existing. d.d crow is there due to its versatility against a wide range of decks and can end turns with it hitting the right card. Cosmic cyclone could replace d.d crow if anti spell becomes meta again and starts being seen in every side deck just because its an FTK to pend.
